Standard Chartered ''to create new Hong Kong finance jobs''

The wealth management operations of Standard Chartered are to receive a boost with plans by the company to create 500 new positions.

According to Bloomberg, the roles will primarily be in the "frontline" and have been confirmed by executives from the organisation after being reported in Oriental Daily.

Those seeking banking jobs in Hong Kong could also be interested to learn that HSBC is also creating new corporate finance jobs.

In August, the bank stated that it is looking for at least 100 new wealth management sales staff.

With companies predicting growth in wealth throughout Asia, new private bankers are being hired to meet the expected rise in demand and unemployment in Hong Kong has dropped in recent months.

In addition, Reuters recently reported that Bank of America is carrying out an "Asia-Pacific hiring spree" in a bid to expand its operations in the region in light of forecast economic growth.ADNFCR-2929-ID-19608004-ADNFCR
