London''s Chinatown will be host to celebrations next month, with a range of events and activities on offer to those in finance jobs.

A festival to mark the Chinese New Year has been organised and was launched this month by Mayor of London Boris Johnson who claims that it is "undoubtedly one of the brightest, most colourful events to be seen in the capital".

People working in banking jobs in London could take time out from their busy lives to celebrate the start of the Year of the Tiger.

London''s world-famous Chinatown will be transformed for the occasion and the New Year festival is the largest of its kind outside Asia, with Chinese food, fireworks, arts and entertainment on offer on Sunday February 21st between 12:00 GMT and 18:00 GMT.

Leslie Ng, president of the London Chinatown Chinese Association, described the celebrations as "an opportunity to celebrate and experience Chinese culture and to see what Chinatown offers".

In addition, two Chinese companies will perform dance, music and acrobatics in Trafalgar Square following the official opening ceremony, alongside Chinese dragons and lions.ADNFCR-2929-ID-19583677-ADNFCR
