Brits looking for finance jobs in Hong Kong ''want better life''

The main driver for Britons looking to relocate abroad is the want of a better lifestyle, it has been claimed.

And while some people may be considering taking advantage of the strong economic growth being seen in the east by taking on finance jobs in Hong Kong, Rhiannon Davies, director of ShelterOffshore.com, said that the weather and a cheaper cost of living are the main motivators for a move.

"Anyone who is seriously thinking about moving abroad has a bottom line common denominator, which is that they want to improve their life in some way," she explained.

Ms Davies added that many Britons are also keen to relocate to a country where the emphasis is on enjoying life, rather than worrying about issues such as mortgages and debt "which seems to be the 'normal' state of mind in the UK nowadays".

Recent figures from Hong Kong's Census and Statistics Department revealed that unemployment is falling is falling in Hong Kong.
