Finance jobs in London to experience boost?

Companies across the UK are experiencing a rise in financial performance and an increase in their recruitment, new research has revealed.

The news could be beneficial for those seeking finance jobs in London, with figures from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Grant Thornton indicating a rise in fortunes for British firms.

"Businesses have reported the smallest annual fall in staff numbers since Q1 2009, expecting the number of employees to increase by 1.1 per cent in the next year," the ICAEW stated.

According to the organisation, a jump in vacancies has resulted in a corresponding rise in personnel movement between enterprises.

More than ten per cent of employers feel it is harder to keep hold of staff now than it was this time last year, it added.

UK head of markets Malcolm Edge recently stated companies are "increasingly optimistic" regarding their outlook and are keen to take on skilled workers.
