Finance jobs in London to receive surge in qualified applicants?

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has revealed more than 900 individuals have successfully completed their ACA Professional Stage exams.

This could mean finance jobs in London are set to receive more qualified applicants, as the organisation noted those taking the tax tests and audit and assurance papers were among the highest achievers.

According to the ICAEW, the former had a pass rate of 88 per cent, while the latter saw 82.1 per cent of candidates finish strongly.

Director of qualifications at the body Gavin Aspden said he is "delighted" with the outcome, adding those who passed could have a promising career ahead of them.

"Being a chartered accountant opens the doors to a huge range of exciting opportunities in business and finance, in the UK and internationally," he explained.

Jamie Adams of Grant Thornton recently successfully completed the ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency, becoming the first person to do so.ADNFCR-2929-ID-19914586-ADNFCR
