Brits with finance jobs in Hong Kong ''want honesty''
Employees are looking for openness and honesty from their senior management about the current situation within their organisation, it has been claimed.
In comments that those with
banking jobs in Hong Kong may agree with following the global financial downturn, Claire McCartney, resourcing and talent planning adviser at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, said that the difficult economic environment has left some people feeling under-valued.
However, she added that by being honest, employers could encourage their workforce to unite around a common aim and develop ways of meeting challenges.
"Organisations need to develop the people management skills of their line managers and acknowledge the importance of saying thank you for a job well done," Ms McCartney continued.
Shaf Rasul, a Dragon from the web-based version of BBC Two programme Dragon''s Den, recently claimed that a successful boss would be someone who took an active interest in the wellbeing of their workforce.
