People with finance jobs in London ''notice green movement''
A growing level of interest has been noted across the financial services industry in the UK in green and ethical investment vehicles.
Indeed, Penny Shepherd, chief executive of UKSIF - the sustainable investment and
finance association, said that many of the association''s members who she has met with, that include those with
finance jobs in London such as fund managers and independent financial advisers, have noticed this increase.
She explained that this is because more and more people are coming to the conclusion that climate change and similar issues are not going away, but that there are opportunities to make a difference and some money.
"Following the financial crisis there is an increasing recognition that it makes sense to look at how your wealth is being created," Ms Shepherd added.
Her comments come after F&C''s latest Question of the Month survey revealed that 73.3 per cent of investors would consider using an ethical investment trust if such a thing was available to them.
