Nomura ''paying high wages for investment banking jobs in London''

Corporate banking giant company Nomura is paying significant amounts of cash to attract people to the business.

This is according to an article on website eFinancialCareers, which notes the firm appears to be on a hiring spree, initially luring the Royal Bank of Scotland''s Steve Ashley, Chris Fleming and Guy Cornelius.

According to the news source, quoting Financial News, Nomura has now coaxed hedge fund trader Christian Dalban to work as its equity trading boss for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The report states a source suggested the organisation is planning to hire 150 people in its equities divisions in the EMEA and Asia by the end of 2010, something that may well include new investment banking jobs in London.

Nomura EMEA is headquartered in London and has offices across the region in order to meet clients'' financing needs in the global markets, investment banking, merchant banking and asset management sectors.

Abdelkerim Karim and Sam Ruiz were appointed in March as co-heads of equities EMEA with effect from April 1st 2010.ADNFCR-2929-ID-19795999-ADNFCR
