I joined Astbury Marsden with five years experience in sales and two and a half years in executive search. After two years I was promoted to Senior Consultant and a year later, I now manage a team with overall responsibility for all its key accounts.
Having worked in two other recruitment companies I wanted to join a more grounded business that would invest in me and Astbury Marsden had real evidence of promoting internally. I liked the fact that everyone I met had very different backgrounds and experience but ultimately were all very down to earth and personable.
The role is really varied and the industry we operate in means that I have the opportunity to write and present a number of pitches and proposals for retainers. Although this can often be a lot of hard work, it really pays off when the whole company celebrates your win with you.
