I decided to move to Astbury Marsden as I was looking for a medium sized company where I would be treated as an individual but would have the benefits related to a larger company. Everyone here is friendly, open to ideas and keen to do well. Most importantly, there is a real focus on promoting internally.
My area of expertise was not being covered when I started and so it was a great opportunity for me to use my existing knowledge of the market to make my mark and build out new accounts for the business. The management team at Astbury Marsden are willing to help and open to ideas. They're not hard nosed like a number of recruitment companies and they reward hard work fairly.
During my time here, I have been promoted from a Consultant, to a Senior Consultant and more recently to a Principal Consultant. This is the equivalent of a Manager level but it means I am able to enjoy and continue with my day to day job of recruiting. I have been at Astbury Marsden for 4 years and my billings have improved year on year. I have been the top contracts biller every month bar one for the last 2 years which has meant I have been lucky enough to eat a number of delicious meals at Michelin star restaurants as part of the high achiever's lunches.
My role at Astbury Marsden has allowed me to earn more money than I ever have and achieve several milestones for myself. The company are extremely flexible to my personal situation and I am able to approach and have one to one face time with the MD at any time.
