After university, I started my career in a Sales and Marketing role. I really enjoyed the sales side and so decided to move into a role in recruitment. After two years at my previous firm as a consultant I wanted a change. I no longer felt I was learning from anyone and there was no real focus to the company's activities.
Astbury Marsden has a great reputation in banking and it also employs some of the most experienced professionals in the industry which makes for a great learning environment. The more ethical model also appealed to me; only working with a certain number of banks and headhunting from the rest.
With a great deal of help and support from the company, I have had a lot of success both as an individual and for the desk at Astbury Marsden. On a personal level, I was delighted to be promoted to Senior Consultant after my first year at the company.
However big or small, achievements never go unnoticed at Astbury Marsden. The company puts great incentives in place which really spurs me on and as a result I have won some great prizes over the last few years! This has included a spa day, a free weekend in Madrid, holiday vouchers and lunches at Michelin Star restaurants.
Without doubt, the best thing about Astbury Marsden is the people. Everyone is good fun with a great sense of humour, all working together with common objectives and values. Each and every person wants to be successful and to enjoy the working day and this makes it a great place to work.
