Jonathan Nicholson

Managing Director

I am living proof of the opportunity for career progression at Astbury Marsden.

In 1998 I joined the company to help establish a newly created division placing technology professionals into the Banking sector. Nine years later and after a number of promotions I led a management buyout of Astbury Marsden with Mark Cameron!

We understand how to differentiate ourselves in a very commoditised sector. Our ability to be better at how we do the job and how we execute the recruitment process distinguishes us from the competition.

We are clear on what we do well and what our objectives are. Most importantly we have a good understanding of how we are going to achieve them.

There is real value being a business based on specialism, and by operating internationally we are able to grow our brand by diversifying globally whilst retaining the specialist focus.

Our consultants are entrepreneurial and each person has the ability to influence the business for the better. I am impressed by the team's willingness to improve and to achieve more. It is extremely rewarding for me to be surrounded by a team with the desire to be the best they can. It creates a dynamic, fun and up beat environment that makes it easy to get up for in the mornings!
