James Arrowsmith
Non-Executive Director
As a Non-Executive Director in the business the thing that impresses me most about Astbury Marsden is our deep understanding of our clients' and candidates' needs. As part of a specialist recruitment company, the team possess a detailed knowledge of the sector, roles and requirements of both our clients and candidates. Our approach is not that of a traditionally sales-driven recruiter; it's a more professional relationship built on an in depth understanding of people's needs.
In my experience, the team are always positive, enthusiastic and upbeat. People at Astbury Marsden commonly have a 'can do' attitude and constantly work to exceed the expectations of clients and candidates. From where I sit this makes them a great bunch to work with.
The business is driven to achieve its goals. It never stands still and is always striving to go further, faster. The Management team have a very clear vision for the future and the business is growing rapidly, on an international scale.
Backed by private equity, the Astbury Marsden business provides plenty of scope for ambitious people to develop their careers and to learn from the experienced professionals around them. At the end of the day though, the fun needs to be balanced with creating outstanding earning opportunities, and we ensure that our people's hard work is rewarded with a number of incentives and a generous commission structure.
