Bonus and Salary Survey
The last 12 months has seen a return to form for some parts of the
banking and financial services industry. The increased appetite to hire
by financial institutions was matched by the improved confidence of
candidates to return to the jobs market.
As we head into 2011 we see retention rapidly moving up the HR
agenda. In this period where we expect to see increasing levels of staff
turnover, there are several factors which may influence an employee's
desire to seek out new opportunities. The most obvious of these is pay
and rations. However, despite basic pay and bonuses being more of a hygiene factor than the driving reason for individuls to change employers, we felt it useful heading into the bonus season
to get a sense of what has happened this year in respect of remuneration.
