M&A: Investment Bank: Associate, TMT

A long established client within TMT M&A where we had previously placed several candidates ranging from Analyst to Director level had a specific need to fill a relatively junior Associate position. The Client wanted the search carried out on a retained basis due to team sensitivities around the role and the need to control a message to the market. There needed to be a limited number of team members involved in the interview process and strict lines of communication to complete the hire with minimum disruption.

We conducted the search and arranged for the first stage interviews to take place off site in one day; this sounds straight-forward but it's no mean feat in this demanding environment.  The final stages and HR interviews followed swiftly after and the hire was made in a very controlled fashion with minimum disruption. The client was subsequently able to manage their internal moves with a succession plan already in place.
