A global fund manager that was a new client to Astbury Marsden had been struggling to find a Head of Performance Management as the role was structured very differently to their competitors. In order to find a suitable candidate, the successful recruiter would have to understand the concepts of the role, as well as the fund management space.
Upon dealing with our specialist Fund Management team, it became apparent to the client that our expertise was superior to that of our competitors and they therefore retained us for the search. We were quickly able to source candidates that had the correct skill sets but were working in different roles at the time of the search.
We created a short list within two weeks. The client subsequently interviewed all candidates and quickly progressed to offering the preferred candidate the role. The role was accepted and the client commended us for being able to provide candidates that not only matched the skill brief but were also a cultural fit.
